Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy within Skilled Nursing Facilities. In this PRN role, you’ll work with an interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve functional communication goals following physician referral and Life Care standards.

Requirements include MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, active state licensure, CPR, and 1 year of experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCCs) OR must be eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) to earn ASHA CCCs and/or meet credentialing criteria.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State with active license in good standing.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; CPR must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Establish, assess, and modify functional communication goals for patients.
• Oversee and evaluate CFYs (SLP CCCs required).
• Follow treatment plans under supervision and regulations.
• Chart appropriately and timely; document progress clearly.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan patient care.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics and safety.
