Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital Sleep Center in Park Ridge, IL, seeks a Sleep Technician to join the full-time team. The role involves PAP fits, patient education, and sleep study scoring, with responsibilities across CPAP/BIPAP therapy and data collection.

Expect Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, 40 hours weekly; requires 2 years of polysomnography experience, BLS, and specialized certifications. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 is offered along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA).
• Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification.
• Advanced training beyond high school with an accredited program.
• Typically requires 2 years of polysomnographic technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Selects and applies monitoring electrodes, bands, and probes.
• Prepares PAP mask fittings and discusses the test process with patients.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and generates reports from data.
• Implements interventions including CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen administration.
• Performs APSV, AVAPS, MSLT, MWT and home sleep test scoring.
• Maintains equipment, ensures data integrity, and assists staff as needed.
