Advocate Health is seeking a Sleep Technologist to administer and score sleep studies, prepare PAP masks, educate patients and physicians on sleep medicine, and ensure data quality throughout the testing process.

The role includes setting up monitoring equipment, performing CPAP/BIPAP interventions, titrations, MSLT/MWT, home sleep tests, and maintaining patient safety and data integrity across facility sites.

Formación

• Advanced training beyond high school includes completion of an accredited program.
• Typically requires 2 years of experience in polysomnographic technician roles.
• Licensure/certification requirements are specified in the job description.

Responsabilidades

• Selects and applies monitoring electrodes and PAP mask fittings; educates patients on the sleep study test.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and documents baseline values and events.
• Implements interventions including CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen administration.
• Performs SV titrations, AVAPS, MSRT, MSLT, MWT testing as prescribed.
• Sets up and scores home sleep tests and ensures data quality during testing.
• Maintains equipment, monitors for artefacts, and ensures patient safety.
• Serves as a resource and preceptor for staff and students; adheres to age-specific care needs.
