Job summary

Advocate Medical Group is seeking a polysomnographic technician to support sleep medicine across Park Ridge, IL with potential shifts in Barrington. The role involves preparing equipment, scoring sleep studies, and guiding patients through the testing process.

The ideal candidate will have advanced post-secondary training, proficiency in sleep scoring, and excellent communication skills to work with physicians and patients in a multi-site setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet the AASM standard of 80% proficiency in scoring with interscore reliability.
• Proficient at sleep study scoring and interpretation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Selects and applies monitoring electrodes and PAP mask fittings for sleep studies.
• Scores sleep/wake stages and documents baseline and events.
• Performs CPAP/BIPAP and oxygen therapy interventions as needed.
• Sets up and scores home sleep tests and performs data acquisition with artifact monitoring.
• Maintains equipment and acts as resource for staff and students.
