Job summary

Pinehurst Medical Clinic (PMC) is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to act as a liaison between patients and medical staff. You will greet patients, enter demographics and insurance information, and collect payments at check-in/out or when scheduling appointments.

You will also schedule both established and new patients, help manage physician schedules, and provide courteous information to patients while supporting a smooth front-desk operation across PMC's locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or equivalent.
• One to two-year experience in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously, answer information requests.
• Check in patients, verify/update information, then check out, while keeping the physician timetable in view.
• Advise patients regarding financial obligations including co-pays, deductibles, and insurance eligibility.
• Maintain the lobby in a neat and orderly manner, keeping magazines current.
• Coordinate the physicians’ schedules and maintain knowledge of physician specialties.
• Answer telephones and return calls, take messages, and provide accurate information as necessary.
• Handle mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records with accuracy and completeness.
• Be a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and communities.
