Gateway Seminary is seeking a Slate Operations Specialist to optimize Slate usage across Enrollment and Student Services, coordinating workflows, providing training, and serving as a liaison with IT for Slate projects across campuses.

The Slate Operations Specialist supports the effective use of Slate across the Enrollment and Student Services division. This position works with Enrollment, Registrar and Student Success, Student Services, regional campuses, and other stakeholders to develop consistent processes, improve workflows, coordinate communication and data needs, and help staff use Slate effectively. The specialist serves as the primary operational liaison between Enrollment and Student Services and Information Technology for Slate-related projects, translating departmental needs into clear processes and helping ensure Slate supports the student experience from initial inquiry through graduation.

CRM operations: Ability to support and maintain day-to-day Slate CRM operations across multiple student service areas, ensuring workflows, data processes, campaigns, queries, and user functions operate accurately and efficiently. Able to troubleshoot routine CRM issues and assist staff in effectively using Slate. Slate training will be provided.
Data Analysis: Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and communicate CRM and enrollment data to identify trends, patterns, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Able to develop and maintain reports and queries that provide actionable insights for recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and student services.

Education and/or Experience: Experience and training in a CRM preferred. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Higher Education, or related field; Excellent organizational and time management abilities; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment; Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
Language Skills: English required.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, students, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database systems; Two years of experience with CRM and/or SIS, Slate and Jenzabar preferred; Experience using Claude Coding and other AI tools for efficiency.
