Job summary

North American Slate, the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, seeks an energetic Sales Representative to drive growth across the Southeast region. You will prospect, present and close deals with contractors, architects and suppliers, while tailoring pricing and terms within company guidelines.

Role requires strong relationship-building, solid sales experience, and a willingness to travel up to 50% across GA, NC, SC, VA and TN. Competitive base plus bonus and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Three years outside sales experience, preferably construction-related.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers; build relationships that create lasting partnerships.
• Meet contractors, suppliers, and architects; negotiate pricing, terms and concessions to achieve sales objectives.
• Manage the entire sales lifecycle from prospecting to deal close.
• Provide consistent reporting to leadership for sales and project oversight.
• Forecast projects and monitor the pipeline to reach sales targets.
• Manage leads in territory; send information and samples; coordinate logistics.
• Estimate, quote and analyze costs to strategically sell slate products in a competitive market.
• Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing and post-sale support.
