Job summary

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works is seeking a seasoned manufacturing engineer to drive process improvements and corrective actions across complex build areas. You will work with industrial engineering, planning, QA, and production teams to reduce variation, review critical processes, and triage repeat failures, applying lean six sigma to identify root causes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment across multiple disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including composite fabrication, structural assembly, machining, bonded assemblies &/or installations.
• Experience with MES/MRP/SAP or other MES application; ability to obtain a secret security clearance after offer and staying through clearance processing.

Responsibilities

• Work corrective actions for discrepancies in a manufacturing environment across multiple portions of the build.
• Conduct critical reviews of processes to identify gaps and close the process gaps with the intent of reducing variation and discrepancies in the build.
• Collaborate with quality engineering and production operations to triage repeat failure modes in a production environment.
• Utilize lean six sigma toolsets to identify root causes and develop corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with team members to explore out-of-the-box thinking and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
