Job summary

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Marietta, Georgia, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in the Skunk Works to drive manufacturing processes and continuous improvement across the factory floor. You will bridge design and production, shaping how tomorrow’s aircraft are built with automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing techniques.

You will lead process improvements, evaluate equipment performance, and collaborate with elite engineering teams to deliver high-impact results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware.
• Technical lead on design reviews, process improvement initiatives.
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model, requirements flow-down, and verification & validation (V&V) processes.

Responsibilities

• Interfacing between design engineering and production teams.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes and layouts for assemblies and production lines.
• Drive adoption of new technologies to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
