DABS, Inc. is hiring a Skills Instructor to work with adults with developmental disabilities, guiding them toward employment, education, and active community participation.

You’ll design and deliver person-centered activities, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive support. You’ll use planned community activities, supervise outings, and assist participants in accessing resources, with emphasis on dignity and independence.

Competenze

• Caring and compassionate approach to individuals
• Willingness to undergo state and federal background checks
• CPR certification and TB test required or obtainable with assistance
• Valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, and auto insurance
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Mansioni

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing community resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands, or leisure.
• Track and document progress with concise case notes.
• Redirect inappropriate behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions.
