Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Skills Instructor to work with adults who have developmental disabilities, guiding them to develop essential skills for employment, volunteering, and education to increase independence.

Responsibilities include planning community activities, outings, documenting progress, and collaborating with a professional team. A state/federal background check and CPR/TB are required; training is provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing community resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings and document progress.
• Track and document progress with concise case notes.
• Redirect challenging behaviors and foster positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to provide comprehensive support.
