Job summary

DABS, Inc. is hiring a Skills Instructor to work with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them gain essential skills for independence. You will plan and lead community activities, support access to resources, and document progress in case notes.

Join a mission-driven team that emphasizes dignity, respect, and opportunity. Training is provided, with full- and part-time options and starting pay between $18 and $25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR certification and TB test; training available if needed.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in community settings and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments or errands.
• Track and document progress with accurate case notes.
• Redirect challenging behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
