Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Meat Department team member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap and merchandize fresh and processed meats. You will assist in seafood, prepared foods, cheeses and deli areas and support the rotisserie and deli operations.

Maintain sanitation and safety standards to ensure a safe store environment for members and colleagues. Responsibilities include helping Members with product recommendations, preparing cuts, and ensuring proper signage and stock levels, while

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Prepares special cuts of meat ordered by Members.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains all club policies and procedures, and ensures the meat department meets quality standards.
