Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member to receive, rotate, cut, wrap and merchandise fresh and processed meats. You’ll assist in meat selection and special cuts for Members while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Responsibilities include cutting, grinding, weighing, labeling, stocking cases, and ensuring inventory; training or apprenticeship is required and 18+ years old. BJ’s offers competitive pay and benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engages with Members, answers questions about meat, poultry, and seafood, and prepares special cuts upon request.
• Cuts, grinds, weighs, packages, wraps, and labels meat, poultry, and seafood to company standards.
• Maintains the meat department case and inventory, rotates products by expiration date, and disposes of damaged items per guidelines.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department.
• Receives and stores meat and related products, ensuring quality and compliance with policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned and maintains regular attendance.
