Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Department Team Member who will cut, weigh, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including special cuts for Members, while maintaining sanitation and safety standards within the meat department. The role includes assisting in seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and rotisserie areas as needed and ensuring product quality and correct labeling.

You will work with a team to maintain inventory levels, rotate stock by expiration dates, keep cases stocked

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship is required.
• Previous meat cutting experience is required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Engage Members by answering questions and recommending meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cut, grind, weigh, wrap, and label meat, poultry, and seafood to standards.
• Maintain stock and rotate meat, seafood, and prepared foods; ensure proper dating.
• Clean and sanitize all equipment and display areas in the meat department.
