Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers on-site. You will read blueprints, set up tools, and ensure parts meet exact tolerances with proper measuring devices.

The role requires accuracy, the ability to work with little supervision, and willingness to overtime when needed. The position offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities to contribute to precision manufacturing in a heavy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in CNC operations and conventional machining.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment and shop math.
• Journeyman or apprentice papers preferred.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produces and assures quality of parts using gauges and equipment.
• Operates CNC lathes, mills, and multiple machining centers.
• Reads blueprints and job orders for specifications and tooling.
• Verifies conformance of finished work to specs; edits CNC programs as needed.
• Adheres to Wabtec Code of Conduct; performs other duties as assigned.
