Job summary

Wabtec is hiring for a CNC machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, and machining centers on site in a Monday–Friday schedule with possible overtime. You will read blueprints, verify tolerances, and program or edit CNC machines while adhering to the company Code of Conduct.

Qualifications include 2+ years in CNC and conventional machining, ability to read drawings, and HS diploma or GED. Overtime and weekend work may be required. This role offers benefits and potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experiences in CNC operations and conventional machining.
• Training and/or experience using measuring equipment and reading drawings is needed.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be able to perform shop math calculations and read and interpret blueprints and work orders
• Fanuc control experience desired
• Journeyman or apprentice papers preferred.
• Overtime may be required, and employees are expected to make the necessary arrangements to accommodate this need.
• Must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Produces and assures quality of parts and machines parts on all machines.
• Operates CNC lathes and mills and multiple machining centers
• May operate conventional machines as needed
• Reads and studies blueprints and job orders for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances
• Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications
• Programs and/or edits CNC machinery
• Adhere to Wabtec Code of Conduct
• Other duties as assigned
