Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support precision repair, rebuild, and fabrication work in a fast-paced job shop. You will independently set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, read drawings with GD&T, and maintain tight tolerances while using precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school machining training preferred.
• Several years of CNC machining experience in a job shop or repair shop.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and machining calculations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently set up CNC mills and/or CNC lathes, including tooling and offsets.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for one-off and low-volume work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
• Use micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, depth micrometers, and other inspection tools.
• Perform machine setups including tooling selection, workholding, and offsets.
• Calculate speeds, feeds, and depths of cut based on material and conditions.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs at the machine and adjust as needed.
• Maintain accurate job travelers and quality documentation.
• Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced machinists.
