Job summary

WALCO Tool & Engineering is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist who takes pride in precision. You will set up and operate CNC vertical mills to produce high-precision components.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, solid blueprint reading, and knowledge of G and M codes. We offer competitive hourly pay, full benefits, and overtime opportunities. Second shift available with a 10% shift differential; flexible scheduling in a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years CNC vertical mill setup and operation.
• Solid blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to follow written work instructions.
• Working knowledge of G & M codes.
• Experience with materials such as steel, aluminum, cast iron and alloys.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC vertical mill machining centers.
• Load parts, cycle machine and detect malfunctions in operations.
• Perform contour milling, drilling, boring, and tapping.
• Interpret blueprints to produce high quality parts.
• Maintain tight tolerances.
• Inspect work to verify conformance of finished product.
• Perform minor machine maintenance such as maintaining coolants.
