Job summary

Crystal Mountain Resort seeks an experienced Ski & Ride School Director to lead and develop our ski and snowboard instruction programs. This leadership role oversees all aspects of the Ski & Ride School, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, staff training, program development, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in ski/snowboard instruction with 3+ in leadership, PSIA/AASI Level 3 preferred, and strong budgeting, scheduling, and communication skills to drive growth

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ski and snowboard instruction, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• PSIA/AASI Level 3 Certification preferred.
• Divisional Education Staff experience preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of instruction methodologies and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of ski and snowboard instructors.
• Foster a positive team culture emphasizing safety, professionalism, and guest service.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Design and oversee lesson programs for all ages and abilities, including private/group lessons.
• Manage Ski & Ride School budget, scheduling, and payroll to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with resort departments to enhance guest experiences and participation in lessons.
• Uphold safety policies and risk management protocols.
