Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro (BGCSL) is seeking a Site Safety and Operations Coordinator to oversee safety protocols and daily site operations at the Edendale Middle School site in San Lorenzo. You will manage safety, logistics, and staff development to create a secure, structured after-school space for youth.

The role emphasizes proactive training, incident response, and collaboration with school and organizational leadership to ensure compliant, high-quality programs.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience working with school-aged youth in after-school settings.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain before the start date.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, parents, and external partners.
• Willingness to commit for the entire academic year, including training sessions and after-school operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations and ensure adherence to BGCSL, School Site, and District policies.
• Implement and lead safety procedures, conduct regular drills, and align with safety leadership.
• Investigate, document, and implement corrective actions for safety incidents while ensuring compliance.
• Lead onboarding, ongoing training, and certification programs for staff (CPR/First Aid).
• Manage student enrollment, class assignments, and check-in/out via MyClubHub.
• Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on safety improvements and operational needs.
