Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro is seeking a Program Manager to lead high-quality after-school programming at a school-based site. You will oversee operations, staff supervision, and partnerships with schools to create a safe, engaging, and outcome-focused environment.

You will drive staff development, program evaluation, and resource management, ensuring enrichment for youth and strong community engagement in alignment with BGCSL's mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in after-school programming.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in staff supervision, coaching, and leadership.
• Strong understanding of child safety, behavior management, and youth engagement strategies.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with school administrators, parents, and community partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and data management systems (CRM/MyClubHub).
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state requirements for working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school site programs and services to prepare youth for success and ensure safety and outcomes.
• Provide leadership to coordinators and youth development staff, guiding supervision and parent engagement.
• Plan and participate in meetings, trainings, and events to support staff development.
• Use CRM data and site observations to evaluate program effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Oversee budget, safety, cleanliness, and collaboration with schools on resource needs.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, parents, and community organizations.
• Represent the BGCSL in public program promotion and community outreach.
