Job summary

Boys and Girls Clubs of San Leandro is hiring a full-time Program Manager to lead high-quality after-school programming and ensure alignment with ASE S/ELOP standards. The role oversees operations, staff supervision, and partnerships with schools and community organizations to deliver a safe, engaging, and outcome-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in after-school programming, youth development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in staff supervision, coaching, and leadership.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state-mandated requirements for working with youth.

Responsibilities

• Lead after-school site programs, activities, and services to prepare youth for success while ensuring compliance with ASE S/ELOP standards and maintaining a safe, outcome-driven environment.
• Provide leadership to staff, guiding supervision, enrichment programming, and parent engagement.
• Plan meetings and trainings to support staff development and adherence to best practices in after-school programming.
• Use CRM data, compile monthly reports, and conduct site observations to assess program effectiveness and propose improvements.
• Supervise staff and manage budget, coordinate with HR for staff issues.
• Oversee site operations within budget and collaborate with school staff on safety and cleanliness.
• Develop and maintain relationships with school administrators, parents, and community organizations.
• Represent BGCSL, promote membership, coordinate program publicity, and maintain stakeholder communication.
