Job summary

Clayco is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support project staff and the safety team in implementing corporate safety standards across nationwide projects. You will develop safety programs, conduct weekly jobsite inspections, coordinate orientations, and lead safety meetings with subcontractors and site staff to ensure OSHA compliance.

The role requires 10+ years of field experience, OSHA 30, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent.
• 10+ years of field experience minimum.
• OSHA 30-hour construction accreditation.
• OSHA 500 Outreach Trainer is a plus.
• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights; physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of the project safety program.
• Establish and conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees; record participation.
• Attend all initial meetings with project staff and subcontractor representatives to define roles.
• Manage larger projects up to $160M.
• Client interfacing.
• Manage other Clayco Safety Supervisors on the project.
• Conduct pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractor representatives.
• Establish and conduct weekly safety meetings with subcontractor representatives and project staff.
• Facilitate training for site personnel; ensure compliance with OSHA/Clayco standards.
• Maintain a log of subcontractor toolbox safety meetings.
• Review subcontractor safety programs for compliance.
• Ensure subcontractor safety representatives are trained and empowered.
• Conduct daily and weekly jobsite inspections and log violations and actions.
• Report violations and institute corrective actions; stop unsafe practices.
• Assist with fire prevention and evacuation procedures.
• Investigate incidents and generate reports.
• Maintain required safety records.
• Attend monthly safety reviews and project staff meetings.
