Job summary

DAT Freight Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE platform team. This hybrid role can be based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR and focuses on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across our cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with development teams, implement advanced observability, automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices, and participate in on-call rotations to sustain high service levels.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years industry experience.
• At least 1 year of traditional software engineering experience (Typescript/Javascript preferred).
• Experience with modern observability tools (Datadog preferred).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, Github Actions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable systems with reliability targets.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
• Advocate for SRE best practices: automation, monitoring, incident response.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning for growth.
• Assist in migrating legacy systems to modern cloud environments.
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide technical guidance.
