Job summary

DAT Freight & Analytics is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join the SRE platform team in a hybrid Denver, CO role. You will collaborate with development and platform architects to achieve reliability goals, scale systems, and automate operations.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4+ years of industry experience, at least 1 year in software engineering, and strong skills in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years industry experience.
• At least 1 year of software engineering experience (JS, Python, Go, Java/Kotlin, C++, etc).
• Experience with modern observability tools (Datadog).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proven ability to drive large technical initiatives and modernization of legacy code/infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable systems.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems to minimize downtime.
• Advocate for SRE best practices: automation, monitoring, incident response.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning for growth.
• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud automation.
