Job summary

Motion is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer II to enhance reliability and resiliency of large-scale distributed systems. You will build automation, support cloud transformations, and monitor system health to prevent incidents while enabling rapid improvements.

The role combines software and systems engineering, working toward scalable, fault-tolerant platforms with an emphasis on uptime, performance, and customer-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Experience with data communications networks and operating systems.
• Familiarity with Unix and Windows environments and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Defines, designs, and administers network systems for data communications.
• Ensures company network reliability and performance.
• Manages load configuration of central data processors and recommends upgrades.
• Suggests software/hardware enhancements and change controls.
• Acts as point of contact for performance analysis, scalability, and architecture issues.
• Coordinates equipment orders and maintenance, including databases and systems.
• Assist with carrier orders and general duties as assigned.
