Job summary

Order.co, the Platform team-focused SRE role, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency across critical systems. You blend software and infrastructure expertise to accelerate product development.

Responsibilities include owning SLOs/SLIs, incident response, automation, Terraform/CloudFormation IaC, and GitOps adoption, while mentoring teammates and driving observability best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant infrastructure and platform services.
• Own reliability, availability, latency, and operational excellence for critical production systems.
• Define and maintain SLOs/SLIs and error budgets for platform systems.
• Lead incident response and perform root-cause analysis with long-term remediation.
• Build resilient systems handling failures, spikes, and regional outages.
• Improve reliability through automation, observability, and capacity planning.
• Develop infrastructure automation and self-service tooling to boost velocity.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and release workflows.
• Adopt IaC practices using Terraform, CloudFormation, and container orchestration.
• Improve developer experience with reliable internal platforms and tooling.
• Drive GitOps, immutable infrastructure, and automated remediation patterns.
• Design monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting for distributed services.
• Establish actionable alerting standards to reduce noise and speed detection.
• Analyze production trends and bottlenecks to prevent incidents.
• Lead DR planning and game-day exercises; improve MTTD/MTTR.
