Job summary

SOLV Energy, located in Plymouth, NC, seeks a Site Quality Manager to lead QA/QC on utility-scale solar and storage projects. You will implement the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), manage inspection teams, and act as the on-site liaison with clients, subcontractors and regulators.

The role requires a proactive problem-solver with PV and civil/ electrical knowledge, capable of root cause analysis, CAPA, and documenting quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years in utility-scale solar quality management.
• Certifications: ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, Six Sigma and OSHA 10 or 30 are desirable.
• Technical expertise: utility-scale PV systems, civil construction, electrical and mechanical codes, QA/QC methodologies.
• Experience with project management software (Procore, Primavera P6) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel and work on-site at remote project locations.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management and Planning: assist in developing and implementing the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and manage QA/QC processes per project specs and standards.
• Inspections and Audits: conduct regular inspections and internal audits of civil, mechanical, electrical work, and commissioning.
• Defect and Nonconformance Management: identify, report, and manage nonconformances; lead root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain QA/QC docs, NCRs, test results, and quality metrics; use Sunscreen for reporting.
• Subcontractor Quality Management: review subcontractor QA plans, audit their work, ensure material/equipment meet specs.
• Continuous Improvement: run lessons learned sessions and feed back to teams; document improvements.
• Compliance: ensure site activities comply with contract requirements and codes.
