Job summary
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio, seeking a Site Assembly Module Preassembly Field Engineer to lead site preassembly activities and coordinate with Construction, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and subcontractors to ensure readiness for final installation.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3–6 years of field engineering or module construction experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or international equivalent).
- 3–6 years of related experience, or 6–9 years in lieu of a degree.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute site preassembly activities for assigned modules.
- Coordinate receipt, inspection, and readiness verification of components.
- Provide field engineering support for steel, piping, equipment, and HVAC.
- Review drawings, BIM models, and work packages for conformance.
- Identify constructability issues and resolve field interferences.
- Coordinate RFIs, field changes, and engineering support requests.
- Support quality inspections and turnover documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor work to meet safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Materials, Logistics, and supply chain to resolve shortages.
- Develop work packages, installation and turnover plans.
