Job summary

The Site Manager at ChristianaCare's Supportive & Palliative Care program will oversee ambulatory practice staff across Newark, Wilmington, and Union Hospital campuses, ensuring daily workflows and clinic operations run smoothly.

You will provide frontline leadership, conduct onboarding and evaluations, coach front desk and non-provider staff, and manage timecards and cash handling while maintaining high-quality patient care and coordinated team communication.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of office practice experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven change leadership, strong communication and team-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of organizational policies and practices; able to direct a diverse team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and offboarding of ambulatory staff.

The Medical Group of ChristianaCare is looking for a Site Manager to cover Supportive & Palliative Care.

The Site Manager will oversee ambulatory practice support staff and ensure compliance with daily workflows and clinic operations. The Site Manager will provide front-line leadership, guidance, and problem-solving, serving as the primary point of accountability when expectations are not met. In this role, The Site Manager will support team members in delivering high-quality patient care. The typical scope includes managing 1-3 clinics with 20 or more caregivers.

ChristianaCare Supportive & Palliative Care interdisciplinary palliative care team provides compassionate, patient-centered support to individuals living with serious or advanced chronic illnesses and their families. The team focuses on improving quality of life by managing pain and other symptoms, addressing emotional and spiritual needs, and promoting clear communication and coordinated care among patients, families, and healthcare providers.


Palliative care also helps patients and their families navigate complex medical decisions by providing guidance on treatment options, care transitions, and available support services, including home care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and hospice. Through collaboration with physicians, specialists, and other care team members, ChristianaCare supports patients in understanding their conditions, communicating their care preferences, and making informed decisions aligned with their personal goals and quality of life.


At Supportive & Palliative Care, the Site Manager will oversee a team consisting of three Nurse Navigators, two Social Workers, three Administrative Assistants, and five medical assistants.

Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday: 8am to 4:30pm
  • Newark Campus, Wilmington Campus, and Union Hospital Campus, with assignments at other locations as needed.
Duties / Responsibilities

The Site Manager will be involved in leading the recruitment, onboarding, retention, and offboarding activities of ambulatory practice caregivers, including medical assistants, and office assistants. The Site Manager is involved in conducting check-ins and annual performance evaluations, providing on-site support for daily problem-solving, and ensuring clinic staffing is in place to support activities and services. The Site Manager monitors and coaches front desk caregivers and non-provider caregivers to ensure standard operating procedures and workflows are followed. The Site Manager will be involved in conducting daily charge and cash reconciliations in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintaining supply levels, and planning and leading monthly clinic meetings with non-provider caregivers. The Site Manager supervising and training non-provider caregivers on daily cash handling and copay collections. The Site Manager approves caregiver timecards, adhering to departmental safety rules, and reporting any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations to the supervisor.

Annual Compensation Range $69,534.40 - $111,238.40This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
