ChristianaCare is seeking a Site Manager for Supportive & Palliative Care to oversee ambulatory practice staff across 1–3 clinics. You’ll provide front-line leadership, ensure daily workflows, and maintain high-quality patient care while coordinating with the care team.

The role includes conducting evaluations, coaching staff, managing cash handling, and ensuring compliance with safety and clinic policies. Strong communication and change leadership are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • 2 years of office practice experience required; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts daily charge and cash reconciliations, maintains supply levels, and leads monthly clinic meetings with non-provider caregivers.
  • Supervises and trains non-provider caregivers on daily cash handling and copay collections.
  • Approves caregiver timecards and enforces safety policies; reports hazards to the supervisor.

The Medical Group of ChristianaCare is looking for a Site Manager to cover Supportive & Palliative Care. The Site Manager will oversee ambulatory practice support staff and ensure compliance with daily workflows and clinic operations. The Site Manager will provide front-line leadership, guidance, and problem-solving, serving as the primary point of accountability when expectations are not met.

In this role, The Site Manager will support team members in delivering high-quality patient care.

The typical scope includes managing 1-3 clinics with 20 or more caregivers.

ChristianaCare Supportive & Palliative Care interdisciplinary palliative care team provides compassionate, patient-centered support to individuals living with serious or advanced chronic illnesses and their families.

The team focuses on improving quality of life by managing pain and other symptoms, addressing emotional and spiritual needs, and promoting clear communication and coordinated care among patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Palliative care also helps patients and their families navigate complex medical decisions by providing guidance on treatment options, care transitions, and available support services, including home care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and hospice.

Through collaboration with physicians, specialists, and other care team members, ChristianaCare supports patients in understanding their conditions, communicating their care preferences, and making informed decisions aligned with their personal goals and quality of life.

At Supportive & Palliative Care, the Site Manager will oversee a team consisting of three Nurse Navigators, two Social Workers, three Administrative Assistants, and five medical assistants.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday: 8am to 4:30pm Newark Campus, Wilmington Campus, and Union Hospital Campus, with assignments at other locations as needed.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Conducts check-ins and annual performance evaluations, provides on-site support for daily problem-solving, and ensures clinic staffing is in place to support activities and services.
  • Monitors and coaches front desk caregivers and non-provider caregivers to ensure standard operating procedures and workflows are followed.
  • Conducts daily charge and cash reconciliations in accordance with established policies and procedures, maintains supply levels, and plans and leads monthly clinic meetings with non-provider caregivers.
  • Supervises and trains non-provider caregivers on daily cash handling and copay collections.
  • Approves caregiver timecards, adheres to departmental safety rules, and reports unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations to the supervisor.

Education / Requirements

Annual Compensation Range

#LI-HB1 Annual Compensation Range $69,534.40 - $111,238.40 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
