Job summary

ServiceNet seeks a Day Program Site Manager Vocational Services in Hatfield, MA to supervise vocational and day training programs, support participants with ADLs, and lead staff through best practices in care and safety.

Responsibilities include overseeing staff, coordinating behavioral supports, and ensuring medication procedures are followed. A MAP certification or willingness to obtain is preferred; valid driver’s license required. Salary is $21/hr.

Qualifications

  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or complex behavioral needs in day programs, residential, or clinical settings.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a human services setting.
  • Ability to provide personal care assistance and support individuals with ADLs.
  • Training in behavioral management and de-escalation strategies (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with medication administration procedures (MAP certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Provide hands-on coaching and individualized support to participants in work and skill-building activities.
  • Facilitate daily transitions between activities, ensuring smooth program operations.

Key Responsibilities
Program Supervision & Oversight

Assist the Program Director in implementing and monitoring vocational and day training programs tailored to participants’ needs.

Ensure participants receive appropriate personal care and behavioral supports.

Staff Supervision & Development

Directly oversee and support staff, ensuring adherence to program protocols, medication administration procedures, and safety standards.

Provide guidance and training to staff in best practices for personal care, behavioral management, and crisis intervention.

Participant Support & Care

Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect.

Implement individualized behavioral support plans in collaboration with clinical teams, responding to behavioral incidents with appropriate de-escalation strategies.

Oversee and ensure compliance with medication administration procedures (MAP certification preferred or willingness to obtain).

Vocational & Skill-Building Support

Provide hands-on coaching and individualized support to participants in work and skill-building activities tailored to their abilities.

Facilitate daily transitions between activities, ensuring smooth program operations.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce health, safety, and emergency protocols, ensuring staff preparedness for medical and behavioral emergencies.

Serve as the acting Program Director in the director’s absence, taking on leadership responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and complex behavioral needs in a day program, residential, or clinical setting.

Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a human services setting.

Ability to provide personal care assistance and support individuals with ADLs.

Training in behavioral management and de-escalation strategies (or willingness to obtain).

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
