Job summary

ServiceNet in Hatfield, MA is seeking a Day Program Site Manager to lead daily operations of our day program for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, oversee vocational and skill-building activities, and ensure safety, quality, and person-centered support for participants with higher support needs.

This role requires experience with autism and challenging behaviors, MAP certification or willingness to obtain, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and complex behavioral needs in a day program or related setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a human services setting.
  • Ability to provide personal care assistance and support individuals with ADLs.
  • Training in behavioral management and de-escalation strategies (or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director in implementing and monitoring vocational and day training programs tailored to participants’ needs.
  • Ensure participants receive appropriate personal care and behavioral supports.
  • Directly oversee staff, ensuring adherence to protocols, medication administration procedures, and safety standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff in personal care, behavioral management, and crisis intervention.
  • Assist individuals with ADLs such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility with dignity and respect.
  • Oversee behavioral support plans in collaboration with clinical teams and respond to incidents with de-escalation strategies.
  • Oversee medication administration procedures (MAP certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Provide hands-on coaching for participants in work and skill-building activities.
  • Enforce health, safety, and emergency protocols; act as Program Director in the director’s absence.

As a Site Manager, you will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily operations at our day program, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and complex behavioral and medical needs. This role involves supervising staff, facilitating vocational and skill-building activities, and ensuring program quality while promoting safety, engagement, and personal growth for participants.



Key Responsibilities


Program Supervision & Oversight


  • Assist the Program Director in implementing and monitoring vocational and day training programs tailored to participants’ needs.

  • Ensure participants receive appropriate personal care and behavioral supports.



Staff Supervision & Development


  • Directly oversee and support staff, ensuring adherence to program protocols, medication administration procedures, and safety standards.

  • Provide guidance and training to staff in best practices for personal care, behavioral management, and crisis intervention.



Participant Support & Care


  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility, ensuring dignity and respect.

  • Implement individualized behavioral support plans in collaboration with clinical teams, responding to behavioral incidents with appropriate de-escalation strategies.

  • Oversee and ensure compliance with medication administration procedures (MAP certification preferred or willingness to obtain).



Vocational & Skill-Building Support


  • Provide hands-on coaching and individualized support to participants in work and skill-building activities tailored to their abilities.

  • Facilitate daily transitions between activities, ensuring smooth program operations.



Safety & Compliance


  • Enforce health, safety, and emergency protocols, ensuring staff preparedness for medical and behavioral emergencies.

  • Serve as the acting Program Director in the director’s absence, taking on leadership responsibilities as needed.



Qualifications


  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and complex behavioral needs in a day program, residential, or clinical setting.

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a human services setting.

  • Ability to provide personal care assistance and support individuals with ADLs.

  • Training in behavioral management and de-escalation strategies (or willingness to obtain).

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.

  • CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
