Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Site Lead Instrumentation Field Engineer for a major New Albany, Ohio project. You will plan, coordinate, and provide technical oversight of instrumentation and controls systems, ensuring alignment with project specs, safety standards, and schedule requirements.

This role interfaces with engineering, construction, QA, subcontractors, commissioning, and project management. You will drive development of project-wide instrumentation processes, support look-ahead

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant field.
• 10–13 years of instrumentation/controls experience.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation, analyzers, control systems.
• Experience with commissioning and turnover.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to interpret drawings and vendor docs.

Responsibilities

• Develop site and area work processes.
• Manage personnel development and mentoring.
• Interpret instrumentation drawings and vendor docs.
• Coordinate instrumentation with electrical/mechanical teams.
• Support RFIs, NCRs, and field changes.
• Track progress and forecast completion.
• Support system turnover and commissioning.
• Coordinate with construction supervision and QA.
