Job summary

The Instrumentation Field Engineer on Bechtel's Ohio One project in New Albany will plan, coordinate, and oversee instrumentation and controls work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality, safety, and schedule. You will interpret drawings, lead field execution, and manage interfaces with engineering, construction, quality, subcontractors, and commissioning teams.

This role requires strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, DCS/PLC/SCADA, calibration, and wiring diagrams, and

Qualifications

Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience OR 9-12 years in lieu of degree.
Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, field communications, tubing systems, and instrument installation practices.
Ability to interpret instrument indexes, loop diagrams, hookup drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and vendor documentation.

Responsibilities

Interpret instrumentation drawings and vendor documentation to support field execution.
Review instrumentation systems for constructability and installation sequencing.
Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, piping, controls, commissioning activities.
Support system turnover, pre-commissioning, and commissioning readiness.
