Job summary

Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. is seeking a Lead Piping Field Engineer to organize, direct, and mentor piping field personnel across a major New Albany project in Ohio.

You will provide technical leadership for piping work, interpret drawings, supervise material verification, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on site. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Project Engineer, developing field change documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of piping

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of mechanical piping systems and installation methods.
• Ability to read isometrics, P&ID's, ortho drawings and plans.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and welding/pressure-testing requirements.
• Experience interfacing with engineering, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with Bechtel Core Processes and ES&H policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to piping field engineers and craftsmen.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer on deliverables and constructability.
• Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans for piping activities.
• Oversee field inspections and turnover documentation for P&ID checks.
• Lead development of pressure test packages and hydrostatic/pneumatic testing.
• Assist with cost estimates and quantity take-offs for piping construction.
