Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent for GovDirect to support managing project schedules, coordinate field activities, and maintain daily site documentation.

You will partner with the project manager to keep work on track while upholding safety standards and quality control across occupied environments. The role requires hands-on leadership, familiarity with ProCORE/BlueBeam and MS Office, and a commitment to delivering on time within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a 4-year degree in construction, engineering or business is strongly preferred.
• 2-5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work and fast-paced project experience are a plus.
• Project lead experience is a plus.
• Ability to master sector/software systems including Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and follow the project schedule in coordination with the project manager.
• Maintain HITT quality standards for all project aspects.
• Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and communities to support opportunities.
• Document all work orders and site activities; clarify subcontractor scopes to avoid change orders.
• Organize the site team, arrange temporary facilities and identify long-lead items to expedite.
