Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. seeks a Commercial Construction Superintendent for GovDirect in Falls Church, VA. The role directs site work, ensures safety and quality, and coordinates between project teams, subcontractors, and clients to protect schedule and budget.

Ideal candidates have a four-year degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years in commercial construction, including GC work. ProCore, BlueBeam, and MS Office fluency are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred; others may apply.
• 5+ years in commercial construction with a GC background.
• Experience with tenant renovations, occupied spaces, and fast-paced projects.
• Mastery of building processes and best practices.
• Ability to organize resources (people/tools/time) to meet deadlines.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct work flow on site in line with the project schedule and safety standards.
• Provide leadership and liaison between project team members and clients.
• Maintain safety and quality standards and daily site documentation.
• Collaborate with the project manager to formulate schedule and sequence.
• Manage subcontractors and relationships on site to avoid changes.
• Support closeout through owner/architect acceptance.
