Job summary

Ford Energy is seeking a Site IT Systems Engineer to provide hands‑on support for IT infrastructure and end‑user services across our Kentucky site. You will ensure uptime, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement of systems supporting battery manufacturing and business operations.

Role requires 2+ years in IT infrastructure or manufacturing IT, familiarity with ITIL, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of IT infrastructure, systems administration, network support, or manufacturing IT environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Preference for manufacturing IT/OT environments and energy industry exposure.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain site IT infrastructure including data center equipment, network devices, servers, PCs, mobile devices, and related hardware/software.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for IT equipment across production, warehouse, office, lab, utility, outbuildings, and remote areas.
• Serve as first‑line responder for incidents; perform triage, Troubleshooting, and escalation; document root cause and preventive actions.
• Execute planned maintenance, system updates, and outages coordinating with operations, plant teams, vendors, and IT leadership.
• Support rollout of major IT and business initiatives by installing, testing, and going live with upgrades and deployments.
• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery and high‑availability procedures.
• Perform routine system health checks, capacity monitoring, and proactive maintenance.
• Support cybersecurity compliance efforts including patching, vulnerability remediation, access control, and policy adherence.
• Maintain documentation of systems, configurations, incidents, and procedures (runbooks, KB articles).
• Mentor junior technicians and foster a safe, inclusive, accountable team environment.
• Work with stakeholders including union‑represented resources to communicate technical concepts clearly.
