Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing engineering and capital equipment projects at a large automotive manufacturing facility in Georgetown, Kentucky. This position focuses on industrial electrical systems, power distribution, equipment installations, project management, and electrical/safety compliance.

You will work with engineers, contractors, skilled trades, equipment manufacturers, and safety partners to execute projects from feasibility through

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of project management experience.
2+ years of technical drawing experience.
2+ years of industrial power distribution and/or electrical system design experience.
Experience developing bid specifications and working with contractors.
Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects, contractors, and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget.
Develop scopes of work, bid packages, and technical project specifications.
Review electrical and technical drawings and provide engineering feedback.
Evaluate industrial electrical power systems and equipment requirements.
Evaluate electrical installations for compliance with local and national electrical and safety codes.
Review power distribution, breaker sizing, amperage requirements, SCCR, and electrical panel loading.
Specify and confirm electrical components for industrial equipment.
Coordinate with third-party electrical and safety compliance contractors.
Support contractor bidding, technical evaluations, and negotiations.
Coordinate equipment installation with engineers, skilled trades, contractors, affiliate companies, and equipment manufacturers.
Supervise contractors supporting greenfield and brownfield projects.
Collaborate across multiple engineering and manufacturing groups to achieve project milestones.
Identify project risks and develop countermeasures to prevent or recover from schedule delays.
