Job summary

Digital Realty is seeking a Site Engineer II in Houston to contribute to 24x7 data center operations. You will work on mission critical infrastructure, including gensets, UPS, HVAC, fire/life safety, BMS, and CMMS, reporting to the Manager of Engineering Operations.

You’ll develop procedures, manage change tickets, and help maintain high availability. You should have hands-on electrical or mechanical skills, 3+ years in mission critical facilities, and knowledge of UPS and cooling architectures,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mission critical facilities operating/engineering.
• Electrical or mechanical hands-on skill with cross-discipline competence.
• Strong knowledge of UPS systems and architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cooling systems and architectures.
• Understanding of infrastructure redundancy configurations (N+1, 2N, ATS/STS).
• Familiarity with CMMS, DCIM, and power metering systems.

Responsibilities

• Understand site layout and operation of MEP systems; illustrate site one-lines.
• Create/modify site operating procedures (SOPs) and EOPs.
• Manage change tickets and incident reports for site operations.
• Perform rounds, inspections, and detect anomalies to ensure uptime.
• Support AC power, cooling, and fire suppression systems for 24x7 operations.
• Develop or improve SOPs for site equipment and procedures.
• Assist in supervision of construction activities and MOPs.
