Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Site Coordinator to lead a vibrant school-age program, creating safe and engaging daily activities for children. You’ll guide a team of assistants, connect with families, and uphold YMCA safety standards under the School Age Director.

This role requires energy, organization, and a passion for community impact. You’ll plan creative activities, manage program operations, and ensure compliance with licensing and policies while promoting YMCA values of caring and responsibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 20 years.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher with school-age child experience or equivalent with 1 year school-age work experience.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required.
• Physical exam within last 12 months.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work mornings, evenings, weekends.
• Strong communication and public speaking skills.
• Familiarity with YMCA policies, EEC regulations, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities and plan engaging, age-appropriate programs.
• Supervise and support Assistant Leaders and Group Leaders.
• Host meetings, motivate staff, and maintain energy.
• Build relationships with children and families to boost enrollment.
• Ensure program runs smoothly and stays compliant with policies.
• Maintain files and comply with safety and licensing requirements.
• Lead by example with YMCA values in all actions.
• Coordinate with School Age Director and other site staff.
