Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a Program Lead to prepare and implement planned curriculum under the direction of Site Supervisors and the Multi-Site Director. You will supervise groups of school-age children and ensure each child's needs are met with dignity, respect, and safety in line with YMCA policies and core values.

Responsibilities include following weekly lesson plans, collaborating with other program leads, and maintaining child development standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to obtain Pediatric First Aid & CPR Certification.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Card.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Interact with and supervise youth; serve as a positive role model.
• Work with Site Supervisors and Directors to implement curriculum and activities.
• Follow written weekly lesson plans and use them as a daily guide.
• Initiate activities that support all areas of development for each child.

Education

Associate degree in child education or development

Step 6 Oregon Registry (ORO)

3+ months teaching experience in childcare center

60 hours training in school-age childcare
