Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a site-based role at a Phoenix, Arizona project site. The individual will coordinate field operations with the site construction lead, oversee subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and maintain robust documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include daily and monthly reporting, ensuring latest drawings are used, and clear communication with project management and clients. Travel is required up to 100%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 9 years of construction/field ops experience
• Associate degree with 6 years of construction/field ops experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years relevant experience in Construction Management/Engineering or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with drawings and specifications.
• Maintain project schedule, escalate delays to Project Construction Manager.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports as official project records.
• Assist with Monthly Progress Reports and ensure use of latest design drawings revision.
• Provide correspondence with project management and clients to handle issues clearly and professionally.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent + nine (9) years of construction or field operations experience

Associate degree + six (6) years of construction or field operations experience

Bachelor’s degree + three (3) years of relevant experience in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
