Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a qualified field operations professional for a project site in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves coordinating site activities with the construction lead, managing daily reports, safety oversight, and ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

You will oversee subcontractors, assist with monthly progress reports, maintain project records, and ensure use of the latest design revisions. Travel is 100% to support project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus nine (9) years of construction or field operations experience.
• Associate degree plus six (6) years of construction or field operations experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience. The associate or bachelor’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, adherence to drawings and specs, and subcontractor communication.
• Oversee subcontractors and construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with project drawings and specifications.
• Prepare Daily Reports and Quality Inspection Reports; maintain official project records.
• Maintain on-site records and files per document control standards and quality systems.
• Prepare contract extras and progress payments for client approval with Project Manager.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent + 9 years of construction/field operations experience

Associate degree + 6 years of construction/field operations experience

Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of relevant experience (Construction Management or related)
