Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Project Construction Coordinator for a Phoenix, Arizona site-based role. You will support the site construction lead in coordinating field operations, schedules, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communications.

Responsibilities include overseeing subcontractors, maintaining records, ensuring drawings are current, and assisting with monthly progress reports and contract extras. Travel is 100% as required by project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with substantial field ops experience required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree with relevant construction experience preferred.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate overall field operations with the site construction lead, including scheduling, daily reporting, quality control, and subcontractor communications.
• Oversee subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and alignment with drawings and specs.
• Maintain project schedules, escalate delays to the Project Construction Manager, and prepare required reports and documentation.
• Ensure use of latest design drawings, assist with monthly progress reports, and manage contract extras with the Project Manager.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent + 9 years experience in construction or field operations

Associate degree + 6 years experience in construction or field operations

Bachelor’s degree + 3 years experience in Construction Management or related
