Job summary

Stantec in Tampa or Clearwater, Florida, is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer – Site/Civil design with a strong background in land development and community development. You will design site plans, grading, drainage, erosion control and utilities, coordinating with clients and government agencies.

The role requires 6+ years of civil engineering experience, Florida PE or ability to obtain within 6 months, and the ability to manage project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in the profession of Civil Engineering civil/site design.
• Registered Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with both private and public sector clients/projects.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Engages in development of design through sketches, models, diagrams, and other visuals.
• Leads project coordination meetings with internal/external stakeholders.
• Prepares site plans, grading, drainage, erosion control and utility plans and reports.
• Assists in defining project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Performs calculations and quality assurance on civil designs.
