Job summary

Stantec in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Project Engineer Site / Civil Engineering to lead civil site design for land development and community projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team, interact with clients and government agencies, and contribute to shaping vibrant, resilient communities.

The role requires a PE in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months, 6+ years of civil/site design experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Civil Engineering civil/site design.
• Registered Professional Engineer in FL or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.
• Prepare complete submission packages, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties.
• Engage in development of a design through sketches, models, diagrams, and other formats.
• Lead project coordination meetings with internal team, external consultants, owner and contractor.
