Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineer / Designer - Site / Civil to join our Land Development / Community Development team in the Tampa/ Clearwater area. This role focuses on site design, grading, drainage, and utilities, with interaction with clients and government agencies.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, 2+ years of design experience, and may hold EI licensure. The position offers growth in a dynamic office environment in downtown Tampa.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering.
• 2+ years of relevant design experience preferred.
• EI License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant project design elements.
• Prepares and revises documentation required for land development permitting through local, state and federal jurisdictions.
• Performs quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans, reviewing agency submittal packages, and engineering calculation reports.
• Assist in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to: stormwater design, potable water design, sanitary sewer design, and irrigation design.
• Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
